ONLINE SUMMER SCHOOL

The online Summer School will be organized in a 5 working-day activity (from Monday to Friday) and it will be directed to MA and PhD students from different backgrounds (ranging from the humanities as Cultural Anthropology or Ecocriticism to Economics, Agriculture engineering etc).
The lessons will be held mostly by academics and area experts and the main topics will range from food chains to engagement on sustainable ways of producing culture on cultivations, to the impact of food on environment, to climate change and health, good practices. One of the main aims of the Summer School is to train students to to fill the existing know-how gap (at technical, business and cultural level) between mainstream agricultural entrepreneurship, typical of large intensive production flatland areas, and rural areas agriculture characterized by fractionated small-culvated areas, often in mid-mountains or hillside slopes, with niche production of local varieties.
The official language of the Summer School will be English.
